UK boosts Smoby outdoor and roleplay ranges with Gloworm and KidZania appearances.
The UK team is celebrating a successful summer of activities with Smoby, sponsoring two high-profile events.
In August Smoby was a sponsor of The Gloworm Festival where an immersive Play Zone for young families was activated. Gloworm is a leading family festival in the UK which made for the perfect opportunity to showcase the strong physical attributes and quality of Smoby outdoor items to both parents and children together. Families enjoyed the opportunity to play with some of the bestselling playhouses and slides. The Smoby Play Zone also gave kids and parents the opportunity to splash about with AquaPlay water toys.
Gloworm festival had a total footfall of 21,000 over the weekend, with the Smoby Play Zone seeing over 1,000 families across the 3 days and was fully booked all weekend. The Smoby team got very positive feedback for both the activation and also the products, with parents saying they were more inclined to purchase a Smoby item having seen the quality of the products.
In addition, the UK team also began a month-long takeover of the kindergarten area at KidZania in Westfield Shopping Centre, London. KidZania is a unique learning and entertainment experience set across 75,000 ft and filled with ultra-realistic role-play activities designed to mirror the real-world. It is therefore the perfect venue to showcase the range of Smoby roleplay items.
The takeover runs throughout the month of August, and is being amplified with influencers and the celebrity brand ambassador, Ashley James. The kindergarten room has been extremely popular with attendees and is managed by a KidZania member of staff throughout the day who can provide information on the products to parents across this key summer holiday period. The Black and Decker Tool Bench was receiving lots of attention from kids and the stuff also told about the demand for the Beauty Centre and Barber Shop. So far in August KidZania has had 11,305 kids and 7,737 adults visit, allowing to showcase the products to a wide range of parents and children.
